What SanDisk states
SanDisk states up to 190 MB/s read and 130 MB/s write, in microSDXC UHS-I. The card carries the U3, V30, A2 and Class 10 markings. It measures 14.99 x 10.92 x 1.02 mm and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Which capacity to choose
Four capacities: 128 GB at 24.99 €, 256 GB at 77.99 €, 512 GB at 62.99 € and 1 TB at 293.99 €. Take a close look at the price column: the 512 GB is currently cheaper than the 256 GB. At equal or greater capacity, that is the variant to go for.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't store games on Nintendo Switch 2: this console only accepts microSD Express. The 190 MB/s is a peak in sequential read, not a permanent speed. No SD adapter is stated in the box.

Does the A2 rating really do anything on my console?
A2 speeds up random access, that is, loading thousands of small files. It is useful on an Android handheld console that launches applications from the card. On a Linux console that mostly reads large game files sequentially, the gap is far smaller. And a host that does not implement A2 behaves as it would with an A1 card.
Does it work on Nintendo Switch 2?
No, not for games. Nintendo is explicit: the Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards. A standard microSD cannot save or load games or save files there. It is only used to import screenshots and videos from a first-generation Switch.
And on the first-generation Switch?
Yes: the Switch, the Switch OLED and the Switch Lite accept microSDXC UHS-I. They will not take advantage of the 190 MB/s though, as their card reader is slower than the card.
What is the difference with our Nintendo-licensed cards?
The GamePlay is clearly faster: 190 / 130 MB/s and the A2 rating, against 100 / 90 MB/s without A2 for the licensed models. The latter use older chips, sold at a higher price per gigabyte because of the licence and the artwork.
Should the card be formatted before use?
Yes, format it on the device that will use it. Leave about 10% free space and never remove the card during a write or an update.
What is the warranty?
SanDisk states a limited lifetime warranty, under its own terms. It is not expressed in years, which is why this field remains empty in the spec sheet.
