Description complète
The fastest card in SanDisk's UHS-I range
The Extreme PRO is SanDisk's fastest UHS-I microSD: up to 200MB/s read and 140MB/s write claimed, with the A2 rating. In 512GB, it targets Android consoles and handheld PCs, where the card is used to install and launch games.
What it does
- Loads fast: up to 200MB/s read on devices that can use it.
- Launches apps: the A2 rating speeds up Android apps installed on the card.
- Holds the capacity: 512GB, the upper limit accepted by many retro consoles.
What it doesn't do
- The 200MB/s require a compatible reader: most consoles and common USB readers top out lower.
- The A2 rating brings nothing on a Linux-based retro console that does not support it.
- On a retro console, it doesn't run games faster than an Ultra: the gain shows mainly when copying.
- It doesn't store games on Nintendo Switch 2, which only accepts microSD Express.
- Supplied without games, in accordance with the law.
Compatibility
Android consoles (Retroid, Anbernic Android, AYN), Steam Deck, ROG Ally, handheld PCs, Linux-based retro consoles that accept 512GB, smartphones, tablets, 4K cameras.

What SanDisk says
Up to 200MB/s read and 140MB/s write, UHS-I interface, A2 rating, designed for 4K video. Operates from -25 to 85 °C.
Who it is for
For an Android console or handheld PC that installs its games on the card, and for those who often copy large volumes. On a retro console, an Ultra is enough.
What it doesn't do
Its top speeds require a compatible reader. And no games on Switch 2, which only accepts microSD Express.

Frequently Asked Questions
⚡ Extreme PRO or Extreme?
The Extreme PRO claims 200MB/s read, versus 190 for the 1TB Extreme. The gap shows mainly with a fast reader, when copying files.
💡 Does my retro console accept 512GB?
Most recent consoles do. Some Linux firmwares require a specific format: check their documentation before ordering.
🎮 Does it work on Nintendo Switch 2?
Not for games. The Switch 2 only accepts microSD Express cards to store and launch games. A UHS-I microSD like this one can only be used there to import screenshots and videos. On the original Switch, Switch OLED and Switch Lite, it works.
💾 Do I need to format the card before use?
Yes, in the device that will use it. For a Linux-based retro console, use the format required by the firmware (FAT32 or exFAT). Leave about 10% free space and never remove the card while it is writing.
📦 Does the card contain any games?
No. It is supplied blank, without games, in accordance with the law. Our Where to play legally page explains the legal ways to build your game library.
🔍 How can I be sure the capacity is genuine?
Our cards come directly from the SanDisk network. You can check it yourself with H2testw (Windows) or f3 (Linux, macOS): our guide on counterfeit cards explains how.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, shipped within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ What warranty applies?
2-year legal guarantee of conformity. Returns within 14 days. The SanDisk manufacturer's warranty applies on top, under its own terms. Our customer service answers by email at contact@fun-esports.com.
Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It is a fair question. Here is the answer, straight.
Every listing is checked before publication: real read and write speeds, capacity, speed classes, compatible devices. Many models never make it into the catalogue.
A question about formatting, a card that will not mount, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day. In French.
The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
