Description complète
Miyoo Mini Flip: a retro console that closes up and goes back in your pocket
A handheld always ends up taking a key scratch across the screen. The Miyoo Mini Flip answers that with its clamshell format: you close it, the panel and the buttons are protected, and it goes back into a pocket. Underneath, a Linux firmware aimed at 2D machines — NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Game Boy and Game Boy Advance.
What it does
- Clamshell format: the screen is protected once the console is closed, with no case or pouch to plan for.
- 2D emulation: 8-bit and 16-bit systems and the Game Boy Advance are its comfort zone.
- Two versions: with a 64 GB microSD card, or without a card if you prefer to prepare your own.
- USB-C charging: the same cable as the rest of your gear.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't run the heavy 3D machines: PS2, GameCube, Wii, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and 3DS are out of reach. PS1 and PSP depend on the title and are not guaranteed.
- It is supplied without games, in compliance with the law: no ROM is included or preloaded on the card.
- The « Without card » version does not boot as it is: the system lives on the microSD, so you need to prepare one before playing.
- We do not state a screen size: the supplier sheet claims 2.8 inches, the information is not confirmed by the manufacturer and remains to be confirmed.
Compatibility
Systems targeted: NES, SNES, Master System, Mega Drive, PC Engine, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and Neo-Geo / CPS arcade. Outside that: PS2, GameCube, Wii, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DS and Switch. The PS1 and the PSP stay in the grey area — some titles get through, others don't, and we don't promise them. Games are not included: you use your own backups.
Skill level required
No soldering, no disassembly. The 64 GB version arrives ready to boot. The version without a card needs a microSD that you prepare yourself — format it, then copy the firmware from the manufacturer's site: allow about thirty minutes and a card reader.

The clamshell, first of all
A pocket console lives in a bag, up against keys and loose change. The Miyoo Mini Flip's clamshell solves that with no accessory: closed, it protects its panel and its buttons; open, it is ready in a second for ten minutes of play. It is a format that has become rare among retro handhelds, almost all of which are sold as one-piece bars.
What it changes day to day
It targets 2D libraries: NES, SNES, Master System, Mega Drive, PC Engine, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. That is where the size-to-enjoyment ratio is best, and that is what the machine owns up to. The Linux firmware boots quickly, charging goes through USB-C, and the 64 GB version arrives ready to start.
What we state before you buy
This is not a 3D machine: PS2, GameCube, Wii, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and 3DS are out of reach, and PS1 and PSP depend on the title. It is supplied without games, in compliance with the law. The card-free version does not include a microSD: the system lives on it, so you need to prepare one before playing.

On the 64 GB version, no. On the card-free version, yes: format the microSD, then copy the firmware from the manufacturer's site. Allow about thirty minutes and a card reader.

Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It is a fair question. Here is the answer, straight.
Every listing is checked before publication: chip, screen, systems actually emulated, condition on delivery. Many models that come out never make it into the catalogue.
A question, a firmware problem, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day. In French.
The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
