Tempered glass and case for R36S and R35S: screen protected, console stored away
The R36S and R35S are made to live in a pocket or a bag, and that is exactly where the display picks up its scratches: keys, sand, zips. This kit brings together the two protections missing when the console comes out of the box: a tempered glass cut for the screen and a carrying case that takes the rubbing in your bag. Two colours to choose from.
What it does
- Precision-cut tempered glass: shaped for the R36S and R35S display, it sits flat without overlapping the shell.
- Carrying case: the console travels stored away rather than bare at the bottom of a bag, screen against everything else.
- Both in a single purchase: screen protection and storage in the same parcel, instead of two separate orders.
What it doesn't do
- It does not protect against a fall. Tempered glass absorbs scratches and minor knocks, not a direct impact on a hard floor.
- It covers only the display: the shell, triggers, sticks and edges remain exposed.
- It is not suitable for any other handheld console. The cut is specific to the R36S and R35S; it will not fit an Anbernic, a TrimUI or a Miyoo.
- A glass that has been peeled off cannot be refitted properly: the adhesive picks up dust and fibres as soon as it is first removed.
- The supplier gives no figures for the hardness or thickness of the glass, and does not state the internal dimensions of the case. We therefore do not repeat the 9H claim.

What it is
A two-piece protection kit for the R36S and R35S handheld consoles: a tempered glass cut for the display, and a carrying case for your bag. These are the two weak spots of a console on the move: the bare screen in contact with a bunch of keys, and the shell rubbing against everything else. The variant colour refers to the case, black or black and red.
What it changes day to day
An R36S comes out of the box with no protection at all. The glass takes the scratches instead of the display and can be replaced for a few euros, whereas a scratched screen stays scratched for the life of the console. The case prevents the second classic scenario: the console wedged between a charger and a notebook, triggers pressed and stick bent. The whole thing is fitted in five minutes, without tools.
What it doesn't do
This kit does not turn the console into rugged site equipment: a direct fall onto tiles is still a fall. The glass covers only the display, not the shell or the triggers.
