What it protects
The RG Slide has a quirk: its screen slides on rails. That moving part is the one to protect, because side pressure in a bag pushes on the mechanism. The rigid EVA shell blocks crushing, the foam absorbs jolts and the elastic band keeps the console closed, with no play.
In use
The zip with its red Anbernic pull opens the case into two halves. The console sits in the central compartment, under the elastic band. Flat accessories go into the mesh pocket. At 4 cm thick, the case is among the slimmest in the range: it stows flat against the back panel of a bag. The black strap is there to carry it by hand.
What it doesn't do
It only takes the RG Slide. Anbernic designs one case per console and states no cross-compatibility. The console can't be charged inside, as there is no cable pass-through. The mesh pocket only takes flat items. And no drop resistance is stated: the shell answers pressure, not impact.
