What it protects
The RG477M is a metal shell with sharp edges: it is the screen and the sticks that suffer in transit, not the body. The case answers that with a rigid EVA shell covered in fabric and foam padding inside. A central hold keeps the console in place so it doesn't slide from edge to edge on the move.
In use
The zip opens all the way around. The console lies flat in its compartment, and flat accessories go into the mesh pocket in the lid. At 3.9 cm thick, it is one of the slimmest cases in the Anbernic range: it slides between a laptop and the back panel of a bag. The adjustable cord tightens around the wrist.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't take the RG476H, despite the similar names: Anbernic lists two separate cases and the dimensions don't match. The console can't be charged inside, as there is no cable pass-through. The mesh pocket only takes flat items, not a mains adapter. And no drop resistance is stated.

It is designed for the Anbernic RG477M. Watch out for the common mix-up with the RG476H: these are two different consoles, and Anbernic sells a different case for each. This one is the 477M case.
What can you store inside alongside the console?
The inner mesh pocket takes a slim USB-C cable, earphones or microSD cards. It is not sized for a mains charger or an external controller.
Can I leave the console charging inside?
No. The shell has no opening for a cable. You have to open the zip and take the console out.
Is it slim enough for an already full bag?
