What it protects
The RG CubeXX has a square screen that takes up almost its entire front face, and sticks that protrude. Those are the two things to keep away from a bag. The anti-compression shell stops crushing, the elastic strap keeps the console from moving and the soft lining prevents screen scratches.
In everyday use
The red Anbernic zip pull opens the case into two half shells. The console sits under the strap, flat accessories go into the mesh pocket on the flap. Count on 5.8 cm of thickness: that is above the average for Anbernic cases, so it stores better flat at the bottom of a bag than in a side pocket. The wrist strap is there for short trips.
What it doesn't do
It is listed for the RG CubeXX. An RG35XX fits but floats, and Anbernic dedicates a separate case to it. The console cannot be charged inside. The mesh only takes flat items. No drop resistance is stated, and the case is not waterproof.
