Xbox 360 Slim power supply: the console starts up again, without changing machine
On an Xbox 360 Slim, it is often the mains unit that gives up before the console: orange light, shutdowns after a few minutes, or nothing at all. This replacement unit delivers the 135 W the Slim model expects, on 100-240 V, with the original connector. No disassembly, no soldering.
What it does
- 135 W output: 12 V / 10.83 A for the console, plus a secondary 5 V / 1 A output for standby.
- Universal 100-240 V input, 47-63 Hz: usable on the French mains as well as when travelling, with the right plug adapter.
- Direct connection: proprietary Xbox 360 Slim connector, nothing to open or modify on the console.
What it doesn't do
- It is not an original manufacturer part: it is a compatible replacement unit, made by a third party.
- It doesn't suit the first-generation Xbox 360 (“Fat”, 203 W and 175 W units): the connector and the power rating are different.

The failure that puts a console in the cupboard
The Xbox 360 Slim came out in 2010 and many are still running. What ages worst on these machines is neither the drive nor the motherboard: it is the big black unit sitting behind the cabinet.
