Hall effect on the sticks and the triggers
A conventional stick rubs against a resistive track. After a few hundred hours the track wears out and your character starts drifting on its own — the well-known Joy-Con flaw. Here, the sticks and the triggers read a magnetic field: no physical contact, so nothing to wear out. The triggers are linear, with a progressive travel.
