One headset, three hook-ups
This is what the G2 does best: cover every situation. The 2,4 GHz dongle, supplied in USB-A and USB-C, plugs into the PS5, the PS4, a PC or a phone and gives 5 ms of stated latency. Bluetooth 5.3 handles phone and tablet. The 3,5 mm jack cable covers the Xbox controller and the Switch in handheld mode. Nothing to install in any of the three cases.
100 hours over Bluetooth, 45 over 2,4 GHz
The 100-hour figure shown everywhere corresponds to Bluetooth mode. On 2,4 GHz, the radio draws more and Picun states around 45 hours on the same 1000 mAh battery. Yet 2,4 GHz is the only mode usable on PS5. So a console player has to count on 45 hours, not 100. That is still above average, but the gap is worth knowing before buying.
What it doesn't do
It does not deliver true 7.1: spatialization is simulated from a stereo signal, on PS5 as on PC. It does not work over Bluetooth on PlayStation, which does not carry Bluetooth audio. On Xbox, neither the dongle nor Bluetooth gets through: the jack cable is what's left. It has no ANC. And at 303 g, you feel it after several hours.

Why this headset is in our catalogue
We check every headset before listing it. Many never make it in.
Every headset is checked before it enters the catalogue: the real size of the drivers, what the mic actually does, which platforms spatial audio works on, and what it does not do. Many models never make it in, because they do not live up to what they announce. What this one can do, and where it stops, is detailed further down this page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it really work on PS5?
Yes, with the 2,4 GHz dongle plugged into a USB port on the console. Bluetooth mode, however, does not work on PS5: the console does not send game audio over Bluetooth. That is the most common mix-up with this kind of headset.
Is the 7.1 sound real?
No, it is virtual surround. Picun states it as "7.1 Virtual Surround Sound" itself. The headset receives two channels and widens the sound image through processing. There are no eight speakers in the earcups.
Does it really last 100 hours?
The stated 100 hours correspond to Bluetooth mode. On 2,4 GHz, the mode required on PS5, Picun states around 45 hours. The battery is 1000 mAh and charges over USB-C, including while you play.
Is it Xbox compatible?
Only wired, through the 3,5 mm jack cable plugged into the controller. Xbox consoles use a proprietary wireless protocol: neither the 2,4 GHz dongle nor Bluetooth is recognized.
Does the headset cut the noise around me?
No. The ENC technology filters the noise picked up by the mic, for your teammates. This is not ANC: what you hear is not processed, only the passive isolation of the earpads plays a part.
Can it be used on a phone?
Yes, in two ways: over Bluetooth 5.3, or with the supplied USB-C dongle, which avoids Bluetooth latency on mobile games.
