Topographic keycaps: give your keyboard a new look without changing keyboards
A keycap set is the cheapest part that transforms a gaming setup the most. These double-shot PBT keycaps feature a contour-line pattern and carry their legends on the side of the key, not on top. They fit any mechanical keyboard with cross-shaped MX stems, replacing the original keys.
What it does
- Double-shot PBT: the legend is moulded into the material, so it doesn't rub off like a surface print. PBT keeps a matte feel and develops less shine than ABS.
- Backlit side printing: the legends are moved to the front face of the key, which keeps the top clean and lets the backlight out at the side.
- Cherry profile: a low, sculpted profile, row by row, closer to the desk than an OEM profile. Switching from one set to another doesn't mean relearning how to type.
- Three set sizes: 97, 98 or 133 keys depending on the variant, from compact layouts to a full keyboard with extra keys.
What it doesn't do
- No keyboard, no switches, no electronics: these are keycaps only.
- The backlight does not shine through the top of the key. With side printing, the light comes out at the side and through the gaps — a keyboard whose LEDs shine upwards will give a more subtle effect than with translucent keys.
- Set designed for an ANSI-type layout. On an AZERTY/ISO keyboard (L-shaped Enter key, short left Shift, extra key next to W), some keys may be missing or not match: compare the number and shape of the keys with your keyboard before ordering.
- The legends use Latin characters without accents and no dedicated AZERTY set: the keys do not carry the symbols of a French keyboard.
- Not compatible with membrane keyboards, scissor-switch laptop keyboards, or stems other than MX (Topre, Alps, low profile).
Compatibility
Mechanical keyboards whose switches have a cross-shaped stem (MX mount): this is the standard on the vast majority of mechanical gaming keyboards. Not suitable for membrane keyboards, low-profile keyboards, or Topre and Alps mounts. The number of keys supplied (97, 98 or 133 depending on the variant) does not guarantee coverage of a particular layout: check the sizes of your keyboard's space bar, Shift and Enter keys.
Skill level required
No soldering, no keyboard disassembly. You remove the old keys with a keycap puller, then fit the new ones by hand, lining up the cross with the stem. Allow 10 to 20 minutes for a full keyboard. A metal wire puller is safer than a plastic ring puller, which can scratch the sides of the keys.
In the box
- 1 PBT keycap set — 97, 98 or 133 keys depending on the chosen variant.
- Colour according to the chosen variant.
- Keycap puller not guaranteed in the box: have your own ready.

The keyboard, the forgotten part of the retro setup
We take care over the console, the screen and the controller, then type on the stock keys of a keyboard bought on sale. A keycap set transforms it in ten minutes, without a screwdriver and without taking anything apart. The contour-line pattern and matte colours make the setup look like an instrument rather than an office accessory. It is the cheapest and most visible modification you can make to a mechanical keyboard.
Why double-shot PBT
PBT is a denser plastic than ABS: it stays matte for longer and doesn't turn shiny under your fingers after a few months. Double-shot moulding forms the legend from a second material instead of printing it on the surface, so it doesn't wear off. The Cherry profile, sculpted row by row and lower than an OEM profile, keeps a familiar typing feel. Three features you notice in use, not in a photo.
What to check before ordering
A keycap set is only universal on paper. The cross-shaped MX mount covers most mechanical keyboards, but the layout is unforgiving. This set follows ANSI logic: on an AZERTY/ISO keyboard, the L-shaped Enter key, the short left Shift and the key next to W may be missing. The legends do not carry French accents. We tell you this before you buy rather than when you return it: compare the number and shape of your keys with the chosen variant.

Frequently Asked Questions
⌨️ Which keyboards do these keycaps fit?
Mechanical keyboards whose switches have a cross-shaped stem, known as MX. This is the most widespread mount. Membrane, scissor-switch and low-profile keyboards are not covered.
🇫🇷 Is it compatible with an AZERTY keyboard?
The set follows an ANSI-type layout and does not carry French accented characters. On an AZERTY/ISO keyboard, the L-shaped Enter key, the short left Shift and the key next to W may not be supplied. Compare with your keyboard before ordering.
💡 Does the backlight shine through the keys?
No. The legends are printed on the side of the key: the light comes out through the front face and the gaps, not through the top. The effect is more understated than with translucent keys.
🔢 What is the difference between the 97, 98 and 133-key sets?
The number of keycaps supplied. The 97 and 98-key sets are aimed at compact layouts; the 133-key set adds extra sizes and colours to cover more layouts. None of them on its own guarantees coverage of your keyboard.
🧰 Do I need a tool?
A keycap puller, preferably the metal wire type, which doesn't scratch the sides. It is not guaranteed in the box: have your own ready.
🧽 Do the legends fade over time?
They are made by double-shot moulding: the legend colour is a second material moulded into the key, not a surface print. It doesn't come off through rubbing or cleaning.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ Which guarantee applies?
2-year legal guarantee of conformity. 14-day returns. Reply within 1 business day.
