Description complète
PunkCyber WFD clock: the time read on an LED matrix
A horizontal black housing, a long display window, and behind it a multicolour LED matrix giving the time, the date and the day of the week on the same line. The result looks more like an 1980s airport departure board than a desk clock. It is a piece of retro-futuristic decor that happens to be useful.
What it does
- Displays more than the time: the days of the week, the date and the time coexist on the strip, each in its own colour.
- Readable from a distance: the matrix segments stay sharp several metres away, by day as by night.
- Dresses up a setup: low and wide horizontal format, it slips under a monitor or onto a shelf.
- Works as ambient light: the colours of the display are enough to mark out a corner of a desk at night.
What it doesn't do
- It is not a Nixie tube display nor a period VFD fluorescent tube one: it is a matrix of modern LEDs, in an aesthetic inspired by those.
- No alarm, timer or weather function has been confirmed to us by the manufacturer — assume it shows the time, the date and the day, and nothing more.
- It has no battery: it stays connected to its power cable at all times.
- How the time is set, and whether automatic time setting exists, were not given to us.
Compatibility
None. It is a standalone object, which needs neither a console, nor a computer, nor an app: you plug it in and it shows the time.
Skill level required
None. It arrives assembled: you put it down and plug it in.

One strip, three pieces of information
Most desk clocks show the time and stop there. This one lines up the days of the week, the date and the time on the same strip, each in its own colour. You read everything at a glance, from the other side of the room, without switching on a phone.
The look of an airport board
Horizontal black housing, long display window, coloured segments on a dark background: the result recalls the departure boards of 1980s airports. It is a piece that completes a retro-futuristic setup rather than a mere desk accessory.
LEDs, not tubes
Many sellers talk about a fluorescent tube for this model. That is inaccurate: the display is a matrix of modern LEDs, whose look is inspired by period tubes. You will have neither the warmth of a real VFD nor its fragility — better to know before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
🕐 What exactly does it display?
The time, the date and the day of the week, spread over the same strip, each area in its own colour.
💡 Is it a real fluorescent or Nixie tube?
No. It is a matrix of modern LEDs whose look is inspired by tube displays. We would rather say so plainly: several sellers keep the confusion going.
⏰ Does it work as an alarm clock?
No alarm or timer function has been confirmed to us by the manufacturer. Assume it shows the time, the date and the day, and nothing more.
🔌 How is it powered?
By cable. It has no battery and must stay plugged in to show the time.
⚙️ How do you set the time?
The manufacturer has not given us the setting procedure, nor told us whether automatic time setting exists. This page will be completed as soon as the information is confirmed.
🖥️ Do you need a computer or an app?
No. It is a standalone object: you put it down, plug it in, and it shows the time.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ What guarantee applies?
2-year legal guarantee of conformity. 14-day returns.
Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It's a fair question. Here's the straight answer.
Every listing states clearly what the item can do and where it stops, with the manufacturer's specifications. No licensed artwork is added to the photos.
A question about the app, a setting, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day.
We handle the 2-year legal warranty of conformity ourselves — not a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, no questions asked.
We don't claim to be the cheapest. We claim you'll know exactly what you're buying before you pay.
