Nocturne Keycaps: black on black, without getting lost
Putting a dark set on an already dark keyboard is the hardest build to get right. Too close, and it disappears; too contrasted, and it breaks the unity of the desk. The Nocturne set relies on a dominant black lifted by spectral blue — enough to stand out, not enough to shout.
On stream
A webcam angled down at the desk flattens the nuances. On a plain black keyboard, the image becomes a flat mass. Twelve keys with a blue pattern are enough to create a visual anchor without turning the keyboard into a Christmas tree. That's also why a 12-key set works better than a full set in this specific case: the colored area stays easy to identify.
Readability in low light
The legends are printed on the key, not shine-through. If you play in complete darkness and need to read your keys, the backlight will pass around the keycaps, not through them — good to know before ordering.

Two questions
What does it look like on a white keyboard? A very strong contrast. This set is designed to blend into a dark setup; on white, it becomes the centerpiece instead.
Do black keys show dust? More than light keys, yes. The PBT grain limits fingerprints, not particles.
Other dark sets
The Zed set adds red to the same register. The Mordekaiser set stays in dark metal with more depth.

When Nocturne turns the map off
Nocturne doesn't arrive, he drops on you. His ultimate cuts the enemy team's vision and leaves nothing but a blue trail in the dark: that is exactly what this set puts on your keys. Ink black, spectral blues, blades, and nothing else. A two-tone palette with no warm accent, sitting on a black keyboard as though it had always been there, and throwing no stray light back into a stream frame. This is the set for the jungler who plays timers, watches the minimap and opens his window when nobody is looking. The Nocturne artwork is an original design inspired by the League of Legends universe, with no connection to the game's publisher.
Light elements on a black ground
On a set this dark the real question is legibility: the light areas are the ones that have to hold. The pattern is dye-sublimated, so the colour sinks into the material instead of sitting on top of it: no raised layer, no edge to chip, and the legend won't fade before the key does. The base is PBT, denser than the ABS fitted as standard on most keyboards, with a matte grain that breaks reflections, which is useful on black. It mounts on MX cross-stem switches: Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu. OEM profile, so each cap belongs on an equivalent row. The included puller works from above, on AZERTY and QWERTY alike.
Black doesn't mean invisible
A black set suggests it will vanish into any black keyboard: blacks don't always match, and the matte grain of PBT won't read like a glossy ABS cap sitting next to it. It doesn't light up either: dye-sublimated PBT is opaque, so light travels around the key rather than through the legends. This is not a full keyboard, 12 keys dress one area and keys in manufacturer-specific widths are left out. Nothing to do on a membrane keyboard or a low-profile scissor-switch keyboard, which lack the MX cross-stem, nor on a build in Cherry, XDA or SA profile. And the Nocturne artwork is an original design inspired by the League of Legends universe, with no connection to the game's publisher: not a licensed product.
What this set contains

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this set fit my keyboard?
There is only one criterion: the MX cross-stem. Pull off a cap, and if the switch shows a raised cross the 12 keys clip straight on. Covered are Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh and Outemu. A membrane keyboard or one with low-profile scissor switches does not have that stem.
What's in the box?
The stated contents are 12 keycaps and one puller. The keys are standard size and go wherever you like, from the movement block to your spell keys; keys in manufacturer-specific widths are not covered.
Will this black match my keyboard?
On a black keyboard the set melts in and only the spectral blues stand out. On a white keyboard it works the other way round: the twelve keys form a sharply defined dark block. The matte grain of PBT does not throw light back the way a glossy ABS cap beside it does.
What does the artwork show?
The register is that of the nightmare: blades, a spectral trail and an ink-black ground, spread across the twelve keys. It is an original design, not a reproduction of any in-game visual.
How do you clean keys this dark?
A soft cloth, barely damp, is enough; avoid solvents. Because the pattern has sunk into the material through sublimation, rubbing won't take it off, and on black you will see dust long before the legend moves: nothing to protect.
Is this an official League of Legends product?
No. This is artwork inspired by the League of Legends universe, with no connection to the game's publisher, and not a licensed product. They are ordinary keyboard keycaps.
