Full description
8BitDo SN30 Pro: the SNES layout, with two sticks and Bluetooth
The SN30 Pro takes the shape and D-pad of the 16-bit controller and adds what was missing to play today: two analogue sticks, four shoulder buttons and a Bluetooth or USB connection. It is the controller for anyone who emulates on PC, Android or Raspberry Pi without wanting a modern gamepad in their hands.
What it does
- Two connection modes: wireless over Bluetooth, or via USB cable to play while charging.
- Wide compatibility: Switch, Switch OLED, Switch 2, Windows, Android, macOS, Steam and Raspberry Pi.
- Tactile switch buttons: the ABXY buttons and upper shoulder buttons click crisply, with no mushy travel.
- Built-in rechargeable battery, charged by the same cable as wired mode.
- Two colours: Grey and G Classic, the manufacturer's retro finish.
What it doesn't do
- It does not connect on its own to an original retro console. A 90s console has no Bluetooth. You need to add a Bluetooth receiver to the controller port, sold separately and specific to each machine. Without this receiver, the SN30 Pro does not work on the original console.
- This is not the SN30 2.4G. The older model came with its own dongle and had no analogue sticks: the two controllers are not like-for-like replacements.
- No extra buttons on the back, no programmable paddles.
- Supplied without games, in compliance with the law.
Compatibility
Stated by the manufacturer for Switch, Switch OLED, Switch 2, Windows, Android, macOS, Steam and Raspberry Pi. On an original console — Super Nintendo, Super Famicom, NES, Mega Drive, PlayStation — it requires the Bluetooth receiver matching the console, available in our adapters section.
Getting started
No disassembly, no soldering, no tools. Pairing is done with the button combination specific to each platform, given in the manufacturer's instructions. On PC and Raspberry Pi, the controller is recognised as a standard game device.

A shape you would recognise with your eyes closed
The size, the D-pad and the layout of the four buttons come straight from the 16-bit controller. Anyone who grew up with it will find their way around without even thinking. The difference lies in what 8BitDo has added around it: two slightly contoured grips, four shoulder buttons instead of two, and a battery so you can do without disposable batteries.
Two sticks, and emulation becomes playable
A 16-bit controller without sticks is enough for the SNES, the NES or the Mega Drive. As soon as you move on to the PlayStation, the Nintendo 64 or the PSP, it is no longer enough. The two analogue sticks of the SN30 Pro cover those machines, without switching controllers between sessions.
On an original console, plan for the receiver
This is the point most sellers keep quiet about. A 90s console has no Bluetooth: the SN30 Pro will not connect to it on its own. You need a Bluetooth receiver plugged into the original controller port, specific to each console. We sell them separately, so it's worth knowing before you order.

Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It is a fair question. Here is the answer, straight.
Every listing is checked before publication: platforms actually supported, stick technology, connectivity, what the controller does not do. Many models never make it into the catalogue.
A question, a pairing problem, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day. In French.
The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
