The Dark Sovereign and her orbs
Syndra does not move much: she stacks dark orbs around herself and waits for someone to come too close. The set keeps that geometry, purple masses ringed in magenta, an almost black background, a few pale flashes for hair and energy. It is a cold, saturated palette and the easiest of all to match: a black keyboard extends it effortlessly, and backlighting set to a nearby purple makes the twelve keys look intentional rather than added on. It is aimed at the mid laner hunting the burst window, the one who looks after his desk as carefully as his build. The Syndra artwork is an original design inspired by the League of Legends universe, with no connection to the game's publisher.
Dark purple and details that have to stay sharp
A dark palette packed with detail puts the printing process to the test. The pattern is dye-sublimated: the dye enters the material instead of sitting on top of it, so there is no raised layer between the eye and the drawing, nothing to feel under the finger and no edge that can chip. The carrier is PBT, denser than the ABS fitted as standard on most keyboards, with a matte grain. Mounting is on MX cross-stems: Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu. The OEM profile changes height from one row to the next, so each cap goes back on an equivalent row. The supplied puller works from above, in AZERTY or QWERTY.
The purple does not light up
A purple set on a black background suggests RGB, and that is the first misunderstanding to clear up: dye-sublimated PBT is opaque. Light travels around the key and draws a halo, it does not pass through the orbs. Second point: twelve keys do not make a keyboard. They dress one area, the rest of your caps stay as they are, and keys with a manufacturer-specific width are not covered. Without an MX cross-stem, meaning on a membrane keyboard or one with low-profile scissor-mechanism keys, the set cannot be fitted; in the Cherry, XDA or SA profile the height does not match. The Syndra artwork is an original design inspired by the League of Legends universe, with no connection to the game's publisher, and not a licensed product.

Will this set go on my keyboard?
The only condition is the MX cross-stem: lift a key and the raised cross is immediately visible. That includes Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh and Outemu. A membrane keyboard or one with low-profile scissor-mechanism keys cannot take them.
What do you get?

How do I match this purple to my backlighting?
Set the RGB to a slightly cooler purple than the orbs: the halo around the key then extends the palette instead of contradicting it. White backlighting works too; red or green backlighting drags the whole thing towards muddiness.
Do the details of the orbs show up on a dark base?
The contrast comes from the magenta rings and the pale flashes set against an almost black background. Since sublimation adds no raised layer, the drawing stays sharp instead of being seen through a varnish.
How do I look after such a dark set?
A soft cloth, slightly damp, never a solvent. The matte grain of the PBT limits shiny marks, and the pattern lodged in the material does not rub off.
