Matching your Kai'Sa keycaps to the rest of your desk
A keyboard is never seen on its own. It sits on a mouse pad, next to a mouse, a headset, sometimes a light strip behind the monitor. This purple and magenta set plays a specific role here: it is the piece that sets the tone for the whole gaming station instead of living in its own corner.
Start with the mouse pad, not the keyboard
The mouse pad is by far the largest colored surface on the desk. So it is the pad that sets the dominant color, not the twelve keycaps. The simplest method is to spot the color that takes up the most space on the pad, then choose a set that echoes it or answers it. Kai'Sa works well with purple, magenta, midnight blue and black pads with neon patterns.
Three ways to put it together
- The echo: the keycap color already appears elsewhere on the desk, and the eye links the elements effortlessly.
- The contrast: neutral pad and peripherals, and the twelve keys become the only spot of color in the scene.
- The blend: several items in different purples, from darkest to brightest, for a gradient across the whole desk.
What about a backlit keyboard?
DYE-SUB printing colors the material itself: the design is not made to let light through. On a backlit keyboard, the lighting therefore shows around the keycaps rather than through them, creating a colored halo beneath the keys. A static lighting in purple tones or warm white shows off the set better than a rainbow cycle, which muddies the palette.
The set's palette
The design draws on the Daughter of the Void's suit: deep purples, electric magenta, bluish highlights and organic patterns reminiscent of her living carapace. A cool, saturated range that is easy to match because it rests on two main colors.

Other sets that match well
To stay with cool neons, the Jinx keycaps bring electric blue and pink. The Ahri keycaps soften the palette toward pink and white. The Xayah keycaps keep the purples while adding feather red.
Two matching questions
My mouse pad is solid black, will the set stand out? That is actually the most flattering setup: on a neutral background, purple becomes the only color accent on the desk.
Can I combine two sets on the same keyboard? Yes, as long as you stay within neighboring color families. Twelve keycaps cover the gaming area, and a second set can dress the function keys.

Kai'Sa, and the rest of your desk
Kai'Sa grew up in the Void and came out of it with a living suit on her back. She is a late-game character, played by people who accept twenty difficult minutes in order to own the last ones. Her palette follows that story: deep purples, black, and those blue-violet highlights running across the suit. It is an easy range to build around — a dark desk mat, a black headset, lighting set to a fixed purple or blue, and the twelve keys stop being an isolated accessory and become the densest point of an already coherent whole.
Matching colours without forgetting the material
Matching a set is not only a question of shades: a glossy key in the middle of a matte keyboard shows up as much as a colour mistake. PBT is harder and drier than the ABS fitted as standard, and does not take on the sticky shine that eventually appears on heavily typed keys. Printing is dye-sublimated (DYE-SUB): the dye penetrates the material, with no layer to wear through and no ridge under the finger. That leaves the mechanics — MX cross-stem (Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu), OEM profile with one height per row, fitted by hand with the keycap puller included, no glue, reversible.
What the set will not match up
The set dresses twelve keys, so one area: the rest of the keyboard keeps its original caps and will not fall into line on its own. It also assumes a mechanical keyboard is already in place — no membrane, no low-profile, no proprietary stem. As for light, do not expect the purples to glow: PBT is opaque, the switch glow passes around the key and does not shine through the design. And however faithful the palette is to the character, this is an illustration inspired by the League of Legends universe, not a licensed product.
What this set contains

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my keyboard is compatible?
It all comes down to the switch stem. Unclip a cap: if the stem forms a cross, you are on an MX cross-stem — Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu — and the set will fit. A membrane keyboard, a low-profile one or a proprietary stem is out of scope.
What exactly is in the box?
12 keycaps and a keycap puller to lift the original caps without damaging them. Fitting is then done by hand, with no glue or soldering, and the keyboard format (60%, TKL, full-size) makes no difference.
Does the printing last?
Yes, because it does not sit on the key: dye-sublimation (DYE-SUB) drives the dye into the plastic, so there is no layer that could chip. PBT completes the picture by resisting the shine that appears on the most heavily typed ABS keys.
How do I match this set to the rest of my setup?
Start from the largest visible item: a dark or purple desk mat immediately tips the whole thing towards Kai'Sa. Add fixed lighting in purples or cool blues, and avoid introducing a third, warm colour alongside, which would break the coherence.
Do the legends stay readable on purples this deep?
That is the real question with a dark palette. The characters stand out because they are treated light on dark, with the maximum contrast available. That said, if you type a lot without looking, a dark set always reads more slowly than a light set under the raking light of a lamp.
Is this a Riot-licensed product?
No. These keys are an illustration inspired by the League of Legends universe and have no connection with the game's publisher. No official licence is claimed, and the item remains a set of caps for a mechanical keyboard.
