Description complète
Hyperkin Admiral: a wireless N64 controller, for the console and beyond
The Admiral is a Bluetooth controller from Hyperkin in the N64 format: two grips, one analogue stick, the C buttons and two Z buttons. It comes with a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the controller port of the original N64, and also connects directly to a Switch or to a Windows 10 and 11 PC. Built-in rechargeable battery.
What it does
- N64 adapter included: it plugs into the controller port of the original console and receives the controller over Bluetooth.
- Switch and PC without an adapter: direct Bluetooth connection to all Switch models and to Windows 10 and 11, according to the manufacturer.
- Two Z buttons: to hold the controller by either grip.
- Stated range of 30 feet: about 9 metres.
- Built-in battery: up to 6 hours of play per charge according to the manufacturer.
What it doesn't do
- No rumble: the controller has no rumble motor, and the Rumble Pak is not supported.
- The Transfer Pak is not supported by the adapter, according to tests by the specialist press.
- Short battery life: 6 hours stated by Hyperkin, less measured in testing.
- Charging over micro-USB, not USB-C.
- The layout is not an exact copy: the stick and the D-pad have swapped places compared with the original controller.
- This is not a Nintendo licensed product.
Compatibility
With the adapter included: original Nintendo 64 and Analogue consoles with an N64 controller port, according to Hyperkin. Over direct Bluetooth: all Nintendo Switch models and Windows 10 and 11 PCs. Mac and Android, mentioned in older descriptions, no longer appear in the manufacturer's current compatibility list.
Getting started
On N64, plug the adapter into a controller port, switch on the console and pair the controller. On Switch or on PC, pair it directly over Bluetooth, without the adapter. Charging is done with the USB cable included.

The N64 without the cable across the living room
The original N64 controllers have a short cable and a stick that wears out. Hyperkin's Admiral connects over Bluetooth to the adapter included, plugged into the console's controller port: you play from a distance, up to 30 feet according to the manufacturer. Two Z buttons let you hold it by either grip.
A single controller for the N64, the Switch and the PC
Without the adapter, the Admiral pairs directly over Bluetooth with a Switch or a PC running Windows 10 or 11. Handy for moving from the original console to N64 games on other platforms with the same feel in the hand. Four colours: black, white, space black and amethyst purple.
What it does not replace
The Admiral has no rumble and supports neither the Rumble Pak nor the Transfer Pak. Its stated battery life is 6 hours, it charges over micro-USB, and the stick and the D-pad do not sit in the same place as on the original controller. This is not a Nintendo licensed product.

Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It is a fair question. Here is the answer, straight.
Every listing is checked before publication: platforms actually supported, stick technology, connectivity, what the controller does not do. Many models never make it into the catalogue.
A question, a pairing problem, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day. In French.
The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
