GuliKit NS70 TMR joysticks for Joy-Con 2: fixing drift for the long term
Joystick drift comes from the wear of a sensing track that is rubbed with every movement. GuliKit NS70 joysticks for Joy-Con 2 measure the stick position with a TMR magnetic sensor, with no rubbing contact. They are installed in place of the original sticks, without soldering.
What it does
- TMR magnetic reading: the position is measured without contact, so without the track wear that causes drift.
- Direct replacement: same format as the Joy-Con 2's original joystick, fitted without modification or soldering.
- Three packs: 1, 2 or 5 pairs, for one pair of Joy-Con 2 or for a workshop.
What it doesn't do
- They are not suitable for the original Switch Joy-Con, nor for the Switch Lite, nor for the Switch Pro controller.
- They do not repair a Joy-Con button, trigger, mounting rail or battery.
- The inside of the Joy-Con 2 contains fragile ribbon cables and rumble wires: a careless move can damage the controller.
- No tools are included.
Compatibility
Joy-Con 2 (Switch 2 controllers), left and right. Not compatible with first-generation Switch Joy-Con, the Switch Lite or the Switch Pro controller. Opening a Joy-Con may end the manufacturer's commercial warranty.
Skill level required
Intermediate level, no soldering. You need to open the Joy-Con 2 (Y00 tri-wing screwdriver for the shell, #00 Phillips for the inside), carefully free the battery, unplug the original joystick's ribbon cable, install the new one and reassemble. Fine tweezers are essential for the ribbon cables. Expect around fifteen small screws per controller: sort them by step. If the stick seems off-centre after installation, run the stick calibration in the console settings.

The job: repairing a drifting Joy-Con 2
The character walks on its own, the cursor slides: the joystick is drifting. You open the Joy-Con 2, free the battery, unplug the original stick's ribbon cable and install the NS70 in its place. No soldering, but a delicate touch is needed: the ribbon cables and rumble wires do not tolerate haste.

GuliKit has made a name for itself with its magnetic joysticks for controllers and handheld consoles. The NS70 reads the stick position with a TMR sensor, with no rubbed track to wear out, in the format of the Joy-Con 2's original joystick. It does not fit the original Switch Joy-Con.
