GAMINJA P48: the Bluetooth controller for PS4 and PC, up to 8 hours of battery life
The GAMINJA P48 connects over Bluetooth to the PS4, the PS3 or a PC and keeps the essentials: 6-axis gyroscope, touchpad and dual vibration. Its 600 mAh battery lasts up to 8 hours according to the manufacturer. This version lists neither a microphone nor a headset jack: there is a version with both, on a separate page.
What it does
- Bluetooth 4.0: stated range of 8 metres, with the PS4, the PS3 and the PC.
- 6-axis gyroscope: gyroscope and accelerometer, recognised on PC for motion aiming.
- Touchpad: recognised on PS4 and on PC, smooth surface.
- Dual vibration: two motors, for games that support rumble.
- 600 mAh: up to 8 hours of play stated, about 3 hours to charge.
- Rear RGB indicator: its colour changes with the player or the software in use.
What it doesn't do
- Conventional potentiometer sticks, not Hall effect: as on most controllers, drift can appear with wear.
- Uneven trigger response: a light press can jump to a high value, which gets in the way of metering throttle in racing games.
- On PC, Steam may detect it as an Xbox controller: the button symbols on screen then do not match those on the controller.
- Despite its two-tone silhouette close to the PS5 controller, it is not stated for the PS5, nor for the Switch or Xbox.
- No microphone or headset jack listed on this version: for voice chat, choose the P48 with microphone and headset jack.
- It does not plug into an original retro console (PS1, PS2): no adapter is supplied.
- Supplied without games, in compliance with the law.
Compatibility
Stated by the manufacturer for the PS4 (standard, Slim and Pro), the PS3 and PCs running Windows 7, 8 and 10. On PC it works without a driver and also with DS4Windows. On the PS3 the touchpad has no use. The PS5, the Switch and Xbox are not in the compatibility list.
Getting started
No assembly. On PS4 or PS3, connect the controller to the console with the supplied cable, press the centre button, then unplug it: the Bluetooth link is remembered from then on. On PC, hold Share and the centre button until the indicator flashes, then add the controller in the Windows Bluetooth settings. DS4Windows is optional.

La P48 dans sa version simple
La P48 est la base de la gamme GAMINJA pour PS4 : Bluetooth, gyroscope 6 axes, pavé tactile et double vibration, dans une coque bicolore ou noire. Cette fiche correspond à la version qui n'annonce ni micro ni prise casque. Si vous jouez en ligne avec un casque branché sur la manette, la version P48 avec micro et prise casque est la bonne.
8 heures annoncées, 600 mAh dans les mains
Le fabricant annonce jusqu'à 8 heures de jeu et environ 3 heures de charge. La batterie de 600 mAh explique aussi son poids : la P48 est sensiblement plus légère qu'une manette constructeur. Une soirée d'émulation passe sans recharge ; pour enchaîner plusieurs sessions, gardez le câble à portée de main.
Ce qu'elle donne sur PC
Sur PC, la P48 s'appaire en maintenant Share et le bouton central, et Windows la reconnaît sans pilote. DS4Windows permet d'aller plus loin. Steam peut la prendre pour une manette Xbox : les commandes répondent, mais les symboles affichés ne sont pas les bons. Gyroscope et pavé tactile restent exploitables pour la visée et les raccourcis.
