Eight colors, and the dock follows
The lighting is what sets this model apart: eight backlight colors, selectable from the controller itself. On a TV unit or a desk set up in RGB, the controller matches the rest of the setup instead of clashing with it. The white shell lets the light through across the whole front face.
Turbo and non-linear triggers
Turbo is programmed button by button: a held press becomes a series of repeated presses, handy on shoot'em ups and arcade games. The supplier also states non-linear triggers on ZL and ZR, meaning a trigger travel whose resistance is not even. The Nintendo Switch does not read an analogue value on these triggers: the difference is in the feel, not in the game.
What it is not
This is not an official Pro controller. No gyroscope is stated: motion aiming in Splatoon or Breath of the Wild will not work. No amiibo reading, no HD haptic feedback. The supplier states neither the battery capacity nor the battery life, and the box does not contain a charging cable. Does it have a gyroscope?
No, no gyroscope is stated. Games that rely on motion aiming, such as Splatoon or Breath of the Wild, will only be playable with the stick.
Does it work wired on the Switch?
No. The link with the console is over Bluetooth. The box does not contain any cable either: plan on using your own for charging.
Is Turbo mode allowed online?
The console does not block it, but some online games detect automatic fire and may penalise the account. Keep it for solo play and arcade games.
How long does it last on a charge?
The supplier states neither the battery capacity nor the battery life. We would rather give no figure at all than invent one.
Can it be used on PC or on PS5?
No. It is presented as a Nintendo Switch controller only (standard, Lite and OLED). No PC, PlayStation or Xbox compatibility is stated.
Can the RGB lighting be changed or switched off?
