Clicky V2 kit for PS5 controller BDM-010 and 020: crisp shoulder buttons, short triggers
On the first PS5 controllers, the shoulder buttons rest on membranes and the triggers have long travel. This eXtremeRate Clicky V2 kit switches the shoulder buttons to microswitches and shortens the travel of the triggers (hair trigger). It is aimed at BDM-010 and BDM-020 controllers.
What it does
- Microswitch shoulder buttons: crisp, audible click on the shoulder buttons.
- Short-travel triggers: the press registers earlier, without going to the end of the travel.
- Two actuation forces: 0.6 N for a light click, 1.2 N for a firm click.
What it doesn't do
- It only fits BDM-010 and BDM-020 controllers: not BDM-030 to 060, nor the DualSense Edge.
- It does not affect the face buttons or the D-pad: only the shoulder buttons and triggers are concerned.
- It is noisier than a membrane: each press produces an audible click.
- The controller is not included: the kit is installed on yours.
Compatibility
Standard PS5 controllers, revisions BDM-010 and BDM-020. Not covered: BDM-030, BDM-040, BDM-050, BDM-060 (separate kits) and DualSense Edge. If you do not know your controller's revision, write to us before ordering.
Skill level required
Full disassembly of the controller and removal of the shoulder and trigger parts. Have a precision Phillips screwdriver, plastic spudgers and fine-nose pliers ready. Advanced level: read the installation procedure for your revision before ordering.

The job: shooting faster
In a shooter, a trigger's long travel costs precious fractions of a second. This kit shortens it and switches the shoulder buttons to microswitches. You open the controller, install the kit parts and close it up: the press registers earlier and every click is crisp.

Revisions BDM-010 and BDM-020 are those of the first PS5 controllers, and their inside differs from the later series. eXtremeRate therefore dedicates this V2 kit to them, in two stiffnesses: 0.6 N for a light click, 1.2 N for a firm click.
