Description complète
ESD precision tweezers: pick up a 0.5 mm ribbon cable without bending it
Opening a retro console means handling parts smaller than a fingernail: a screen ribbon cable, a trigger spring, a tri-wing screw that has dropped into the shell. Ordinary tweezers crush them or send them flying. These are stainless steel precision tweezers, with an extra-fine tip and an anti-static body, available in twelve tip profiles.
What it does
- Grip without crushing: the tips meet along their whole length, so you can hold a ZIF ribbon cable or a connector without marking the copper.
- Work on micro-soldering: the fine tip lets you see the solder joint while you hold the wire or component.
- Twelve profiles to choose from: the MTS and CTS references each correspond to a tip shape (straight, angled, more or less fine) — you pick the one that matches the job.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't cut. These are not side cutters: to cut a component leg or a wire, you need another tool.
- It isn't electrically insulated. The body is metal: don't use it on a live board or on a capacitor that hasn't been discharged.
- The "anti-static" claim comes from the manufacturer and has not been measured on our side. It doesn't replace a grounded ESD wrist strap for sensitive work.
- The supplier doesn't document the exact geometry of each reference: the shape visible in the photos is what counts, to be confirmed for your use.
- An extra-fine tip bends if you force it. This isn't the tool for prying open a shell or pulling out a soldered battery.
Compatibility
It's a tool, not a part: it doesn't fit onto anything and suits every workshop job — retro handheld consoles, controllers, motherboards, IPS screen installation, battery replacement, connector cleaning. No console is excluded. Equally, no console is included: you are buying the tweezers alone.
Skill level required
None. The tweezers are useful from your very first teardown. They really come into their own once you touch a screen ribbon cable or do micro-soldering: keep a set of precision screwdrivers, an opening spudger and, for board work, a grounded anti-static wrist strap to hand.
In the box
- 1 pair of stainless steel precision tweezers, in the tip reference chosen from the menu.

The task: the ribbon cable you don't bend
The critical moment in a screen replacement isn't the soldering: it's the second when you guide the ribbon cable into its ZIF connector. With fingers or tweezers that are too thick, you mark it, bend it, ruin it. An extra-fine tip grips the ribbon cable by its edge and guides it all the way into the connector. Same idea for the 1.5 mm screw that has dropped to the bottom of a handheld's shell.
The tool: why these tweezers rather than others
Cheap tweezers sold in bulk sets close badly: the tips cross instead of meeting, and the component flies off. These are stainless steel electronics tweezers, described as anti-static by their manufacturer, available in twelve tip profiles from the MTS and CTS series. You choose the profile to suit the task — a straight tip to grip flat, an angled tip to work at an angle.
What we tell you before you buy
The supplier's original listing presents this tool as eyelash extension tweezers: it's the same tool body, sold to two trades. We list it in the Workshop catalogue for what it can do on a console. Two stated reservations: the anti-static property comes from the manufacturer and has not been measured, and the geometric details of each reference are not published. Listing verified on 19 August 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
🔧 Do I need to solder to use these tweezers?
No, it's a gripping tool. On the contrary, it's for holding a wire or component while you solder, or for handling a ribbon cable without bending it.
🎮 Which consoles is it compatible with?
All of them. It's a workshop tool, not a spare part: retro handheld consoles, controllers, motherboards, IPS screens. No console is supplied with it.
🧭 Which reference should I choose, MTS or CTS?
Each code corresponds to one of the manufacturer's tip profiles (straight, angled, more or less fine). The supplier doesn't publish the detailed measurements: go by the shape visible in the photos and the task you do most often.
⚡ Is it really anti-static?
The manufacturer describes it as ESD anti-static; we haven't measured this property. For sensitive motherboard work, keep a grounded ESD wrist strap — the tweezers don't replace it.
📦 What's in the box?
One pair of tweezers, in the tip reference selected from the menu. No case, no full set: the other profiles are ordered separately.
🧰 What other tools should go with it?
A set of precision screwdrivers (including tri-wing for Nintendo consoles), a plastic opening spudger and an anti-static mat cover most teardowns.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ Which guarantee applies?
2-year legal guarantee of conformity. 14-day returns. French customer service, reply within 1 business day.

The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
