iBlueControlMod: wireless controllers on Dreamcast, with a module hidden inside the console
Original Dreamcast controllers age badly: worn cables, drifting sticks, and a wire running across the living room. Hispeedido's iBlueControlMod is a Bluetooth receiver that installs inside the Dreamcast, without soldering, to connect PS4, PS5 or Wii controllers, according to the manufacturer. You choose it according to your console's fan connector.
What it does
- Wireless controllers: PS4, PS5 and Wii controllers stated as compatible by the manufacturer.
- Internal module: nothing sticks out of the console once it is closed.
- No-solder installation: the module connects inside the console, without a soldering iron.
- Simple pairing: switching the console off and on again, or holding the Reset button for 7 to 9 seconds, starts pairing.
What it doesn't do
- It cannot be installed without opening the console: the module goes inside.
- It comes in two versions depending on the fan connector (2 or 3 pins): the wrong version will not connect, so check before ordering.
- A Bluetooth controller has no slot for the VMU memory card of the original controller.
- Only the controllers listed by the manufacturer are stated as compatible: any other Bluetooth controller is not guaranteed.
- The controller is not included.

The job: cutting the cord without touching the iron
You open the Dreamcast, locate the fan connector, connect the module in the matching version, then close it up. On restart, the console enters pairing mode: a PS4, PS5 or Wii controller connects to it, and you play from the sofa, with no cable stretched across the room.
