Description complète
Wireless CX40+ PAC-MAN edition: the Atari joystick, without the cable
The wireless CX40+ recreates the Atari CX40 joystick, with its flexible shaft and its single fire button, in a 2.4 GHz wireless version. This licensed series celebrates PAC-MAN: PAC-MAN in yellow and the four ghosts, Blinky in red, Pinky in pink, Inky in blue and Clyde in orange. Two adapters are included: DB9 for the Atari 2600+, 7800+ and the original consoles, USB-A for PC.
What it does
- 2.4 GHz wireless: stated range of 30 feet, about 9 metres.
- Two wireless adapters included: DB9 for Atari consoles, USB-A for PC.
- Rechargeable battery: through the USB-C cable included; the manufacturer states about 30 hours of play and 40 minutes of charging for the wireless CX40+.
- Five editions: PAC-MAN yellow, Blinky red, Pinky pink, Inky blue and Clyde orange: only the finish changes.
- Original consoles included: the DB9 adapter also plugs into a period Atari 2600 or 7800.
What it doesn't do
- A single fire button, like the original CX40: for 7800 games designed around two buttons, the CX78+ controller is a better fit.
- The power adapter is not included: only the USB-C charging cable is.
- It is neither a paddle nor a wheel: games that require those controllers cannot be played with it.
- Only the Atari 2600+ and 7800+, the original Atari 2600 and 7800 and PC are stated by the manufacturer: THE400 Mini, for example, is not listed.
- No console is included: this is a joystick on its own.
- The yellow PAC-MAN joystick already comes with the Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN edition: no need to buy it again for a first player.

The CX40, without a cable across the living room
The CX40 joystick is inseparable from the Atari 2600, but its short cable forces you to play right next to the console. The wireless CX40+ keeps the shaft and the single button of the original model and communicates over 2.4 GHz, with a stated range of about 9 metres. Its battery charges over USB-C, for a stated thirty or so hours of play.
PAC-MAN and his gang, one joystick each
This official Atari and PAC-MAN series offers the joystick in five finishes: PAC-MAN in yellow, and the ghosts Blinky in red, Pinky in pink, Inky in blue and Clyde in orange. The yellow one comes with the Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN edition; the ghosts let you complete the table to play in twos with matching joysticks.
Adapters for the old as well as the new
Two wireless adapters are in the box. The DB9 plugs into the controller port of an Atari 2600+ or 7800+, but also of a period Atari 2600 or 7800. The USB-A one is for PC. It has only one button, like the original: for two-button 7800 games, the CX78+ controller remains a better fit.

Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It is a fair question. Here is the answer, straight.
Every listing is checked before publication: platforms actually supported, stick technology, connectivity, what the controller does not do. Many models never make it into the catalogue.
A question, a pairing problem, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day. In French.
The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
