Description complète
Astro City Mini V: the vertical arcade cabinet, in desktop format
The Astro City Mini V reproduces the Astro City arcade cabinet at 1/6 scale, with a 4.6-inch vertical screen. It carries 22 arcade games, mostly vertically scrolling shoot'em ups: Raiden, Strikers 1945, Gunbird, Batsugun, Dogyuun, Zaxxon. You play on its own screen or on a TV over HDMI.
What it does
- 4.6-inch vertical screen: vertically scrolling shoot'em ups are displayed in their original orientation.
- 22 built-in games: including Raiden, Strikers 1945, Gunbird, Batsugun, Dogyuun, Armed Police Batrider, Battle Bakraid, Moon Cresta, Terra Cresta and Zaxxon.
- HDMI output: cable supplied, resolution stated as 720p or 480p by the distributor, vertical mode supported.
- Stick and buttons on the front: as on the original cabinet, with nothing to plug in to play on your own.
- USB ports: to add the Astro City Mini accessories, stick or controller, sold separately.
What it doesn't do
- No battery: the cabinet runs plugged into a USB power supply.
- The USB mains adapter is not supplied.
- The list of 22 games is fixed: no cartridge slot, no way to add games.
- Two-player play requires an extra stick or controller, sold separately.
- This is not a full-size cabinet: 13 × 17.5 × 17 cm.
Compatibility
Self-contained thanks to its built-in screen. On a TV or monitor over HDMI, with the supplied cable. Powered by USB cable, mains adapter not supplied. European edition, manual in five languages including French.
Getting started
No disassembly, no downloads: the games are already in the machine. Plug the USB cable into a USB mains adapter, switch on, play. To move to the TV, just connect the supplied HDMI cable.

A format built for the vertical shoot'em up
The first Astro City Mini showed its games horizontally. This V version does the opposite: the 4.6-inch screen stands vertically, the original orientation of arcade shoot'em ups such as Raiden, Strikers 1945 or Batsugun. You play with the stick and the buttons on the front, as you would at the cabinet.
Games already in the machine, rights settled
The 22 games are built in by the publisher, under licence. There is nothing to download and nothing to hunt for: plug in, switch on. That is exactly what puts it in our official and legal retro gaming section, alongside the other machines that bring their games with them.
A collector's piece that also plugs into the TV
Sitting on a desk or a shelf, the 1/6 scale replica of the Astro City cabinet makes its mark. When the 4.6-inch screen gets too small, the supplied HDMI cable connects it to a TV while keeping vertical mode. The Astro City Mini stick and controller connect over USB for two-player games.
