8BitDo FlipPad: real buttons on your phone, in portrait mode
The FlipPad plugs into the phone's USB-C port and adds a D-pad and four ABXY buttons, so you can play in portrait mode as on a handheld console. The control block swivels: you can reply to a message without unplugging it. It works with iOS 26.2 and Android 13 and later.
What it does
- D-pad and ABXY buttons: physical controls for mobile games that support a controller.
- Flip-out block: it swivels to free up the screen without unplugging the controller; hinge rated by the manufacturer for more than 6,000 cycles.
- Direct USB-C connection: no pairing; port rated for more than 10,000 insertions.
- Case stays on: compatible with most cases under 2 mm.
- 31.5 g: 70 × 66.5 × 19.7 mm, it slips into a pocket.
What it doesn't do
- No analog sticks announced: the manufacturer's sheet describes a D-pad and ABXY buttons.
- No Bluetooth and no battery: it plugs in over USB-C and runs off the phone.
- iPhones with a Lightning port are excluded: you need a USB-C port and iOS 26.2 or later.
- Cases thicker than 2 mm get in the way of the connection; phones 8 to 10 mm thick are recommended.
- It does not make playable those games that have no controller support.

Your phone as a handheld console, in portrait
Most mobile controllers force you to hold the phone horizontally. The FlipPad takes the opposite route: it plugs into the USB-C port and adds a D-pad and four buttons, so you can play in portrait mode. It feels like a 1990s handheld console, suited to retro games and to mobile games with controller support.
The flip, so you never unplug
Between two games you reply to a message: the control block swivels and frees up the screen, without removing the controller. The hinge is rated for more than 6,000 openings and the USB-C port for more than 10,000 connections, enough to leave it living on the phone day to day.
What to check first
The FlipPad requires a USB-C port, iOS 26.2 or Android 13 as a minimum, and a case under 2 mm. It has no battery, no Bluetooth and no analog sticks announced: it is a D-pad controller, meant for games that need nothing more. To play 3D games, a controller with sticks will suit you better.

Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It is a fair question. Here is the answer, straight.
Every listing is checked before publication: platforms actually supported, stick technology, connectivity, what the controller does not do. Many models never make it into the catalogue.
A question, a pairing problem, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day. In French.
The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
