What it's really for
Playing on PlayStation 2 again without running a three-metre cable across the living room. It's a DualShock-shaped controller, with two sticks, a D-pad, four action buttons, four triggers and dual vibration. The manufacturer states 8 metres of range over 2,4 GHz. It also serves as a second controller for local multiplayer, or as a replacement when the original DualShock 2's sticks start going haywire.
How you actually connect it
Three steps. You put 2 AAA batteries into the controller, they are not included. You plug the supplied receiver into one of the two controller ports on the front of the PlayStation 2. You switch the controller on and pairing with its receiver happens automatically. Nothing else is needed on PS2. For a PC or a PS3, however, you would need a PlayStation controller port to USB adapter, which is not in the box.
What it isn't
This is not a Sony DualShock 2: it is an unbranded third-party controller. It is not a USB controller: as delivered, it only plugs into a PlayStation 2 controller port. It is not a rechargeable controller: it runs on AAA batteries that you supply. It has no HD haptic feedback, only vibration. And despite what the original description claims, use on PC or on PS3 is not possible with the contents of the box.

Where does the supplied receiver plug in?
Into a PlayStation 2 controller port, on the front of the console. This is not a USB dongle: it does not go into a computer.
Can I use it on PC?
Not with the contents of the box. The original description mentions Windows 7, 8 and 10, but you would need a PlayStation controller port to USB adapter, which is not included. Even with that adapter, recognition depends on the driver installed.
And on PS3?
The PS3 has no PS2 controller port: it only accepts USB and Bluetooth. The "PS3 with adapter" mention in the description therefore assumes a third-party adapter, not included, whose operation is not guaranteed. For the PS3, you are better off choosing a controller designed for that console.
Are batteries included?
No. You need 2 AAA batteries, bought separately. The controller does not recharge rechargeable batteries: you have to take them out and put them on an external charger.
Does it work on a PlayStation 1?
The manufacturer's description does not say. The receiver's connector uses the PlayStation controller port format, but we have no written statement from the manufacturer confirming the PS1, in particular for vibration and analog mode. We would rather not claim anything.
Vibration or haptic feedback?
Vibration, with two motors stated. The HD haptic feedback of recent controllers is a different technology, absent here.
