The panel
Retroid states a 5.5-inch AMOLED covering 107% of the sRGB space, with a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Two physical buttons set the brightness without going through the console.
Mounting and connection
The screen clips onto the back of the console using the supplied clip and receives the image over USB-C in DisplayPort Alt Mode. The hinge stops at three detents: 120, 150 and 180 degrees. Pass-through charging lets you plug in the power supply while you play.
What it doesn't do
It officially works with five Retroid Pocket models only, and Retroid has ruled out the Steam Deck. It does not turn an emulator into a dual-screen application: that is up to the software. Retroid publishes no weight, no dimensions, no resolution and no built-in battery.

Which consoles does it really work with?
Retroid lists official support for the RP6, the RP5, the RP4 Pro, the RP Mini and the RP Mini V2. The principle relies on DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C: other 6 to 7-inch devices can technically work, with no guarantee from the manufacturer.
Is it compatible with the Steam Deck?
No. The Steam Deck was explicitly ruled out when the product was announced.
Does it make DS and 3DS games playable across two screens?
Not automatically. The add-on provides a second display output; it is up to the emulator to know how to split the two screens. Check support on the application side before buying.
Do you need a separate power supply?
Retroid states pass-through charging and documents no built-in battery. On a long session, plug in the power supply: two screens draw more than one.
What are the hinge positions?
Three detents: 120, 150 and 180 degrees. At 180 both screens sit in the same plane, at 120 the second screen moves closer to your line of sight.
What's in the box?
The screen and its rear mounting clip. Retroid mentions no extra cable and no power adapter.
