PSP L and R triggers: replace a broken or cracked shoulder button

The L and R triggers of a PSP take every press and eventually crack, break or fade. This replacement pair replaces both shoulder buttons of a PSP 2000 or a PSP 3000. It comes in four translucent colours: blue, black, red or white, to restore the original look or give the console a new one.

What it does

• Complete pair: one L trigger and one R trigger.
• For PSP 2000 and 3000: the 2000 and 3000 models, slimmer than the PSP 1000.
• Four translucent colours: blue, black, red or white.

What it does not do

• It does not fit the PSP 1000 or the PSP Go, whose triggers are different.
• It replaces the plastic part, not the electrical contact underneath: if pressing no longer does anything while the trigger is intact, it is the contact that needs replacing.
• No tools are included.

Compatibility

PSP 2000 and PSP 3000. The model number is printed on the back of the console, in the battery compartment. The PSP 1000 and PSP Go are not covered.

Skill level

You need to open the console: remove the battery and the Phillips screws of the shell, one of which is in the battery compartment, under a label. The triggers fit in place without soldering. You will need a precision Phillips screwdriver. Intermediate level.
