You set the stick tension by hand
Both sticks sit on alloy modules whose tension adjusts from 30 to 100 gram-force. In plain terms: you choose how much force it takes to push the stick. Low for the fast movements of an action game, high to hold a long aim without overshooting the target. The adjustment is mechanical, not software-based, and it holds on whatever device you plug into. Add to that four macro buttons on the back and a 1,000 Hz polling rate, wired as well as over 2.4 GHz.
The LCD screen means you can skip the PC
The color screen in the middle of the controller isn't a decorative gimmick: this is where you switch profiles and adjust the triggers, the vibration and the lighting without launching Flydigi Space Station. Handy when the controller is connected to a Switch or a phone, where the PC software isn't available. Two caveats: the resolution is low, and the screen holds fingerprints. Fine-tuning, meanwhile, is still quicker on a keyboard.
What it isn't
This isn't a lightweight controller: 328 grams, about a hundred more than an EasySMX X05. If you play for long stretches with your arms unsupported, you feel it. It isn't an Xbox or a PlayStation controller, those consoles are not supported. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack. And it isn't a controller you pull out of the box and immediately play with at its best: between the profiles, the trigger curves and the gyro mapping, it takes time in Space Station before you get the most out of it.

Why this controller is in our catalogue
We check every controller before listing it. Many never make it in.
Every controller is checked before it enters the catalogue: the platforms it really works on, the technology of its sticks, what it does not do. Many models never make it in, because they do not live up to what they announce. What this one can do, and where it stops, is detailed further down this page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does “stick tension adjustable from 30 to 100 gf” mean?
It is the force you have to apply to move the stick. A low setting helps with fast movements, a high setting helps you hold a precise aim. The change is mechanical, it stays active on every device.
How many back buttons are there, and are they programmable?
Four: M1, M2, M3 and M4. Two sit on the grips, two underneath the controller. You assign them in Flydigi Space Station or from the controller screen.
Does it work on Xbox or PlayStation?
No. Flydigi states Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS. Microsoft and Sony consoles are not supported.
What battery life does the manufacturer state?
Flydigi states up to 20 hours with the 1,500 mAh battery. The lighting, the four-motor vibration and the screen all push that figure down.
Is the Space Station software required?
No. The LCD screen lets you switch profiles and adjust the triggers, the vibration and the lighting without a PC. Space Station is still more comfortable for fine tuning and for firmware updates.
How much does it weigh?
328 g. That is clearly more than an entry-level controller, which sits around 220 g. Some players like that weight, others find it tiring over long sessions.
