Two triggers, two behaviors
Under each trigger sits a small latch that changes the travel. In the low position, the trigger keeps its full analog travel with a Hall effect sensor: you meter acceleration to the millimeter in a racing game. In the high position, travel is capped at a few millimeters and the press fires a microswitch: your shot goes off faster in FPS. Switching is done by hand, in one second, with no menu and no software. That is the D10's real argument against controllers at the same price.
TMR is not a synonym for Hall Effect
Both technologies are contactless, so both avoid drift. The difference lies elsewhere: TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) produces a stronger signal for the same stick movement. As a result, very small movements stand out better from electrical noise, and the sensor draws less power than a Hall sensor. In practice, you feel it on micro-corrections while aiming, not on large movements. In 2026, TMR is still uncommon below 100 euros.
What it is not
This is not an Xbox or a PlayStation controller. Nor is it a controller you drive from a PC: EasySMX provides no software, everything is set through button combinations. The D-pad is a single piece; PC Gamer's testers find the diagonals less crisp than on a four-segment D-pad, which mainly gets in the way in platformers. There are only two rear paddles, and they are easy to knock during the first few days. No 3.5 mm headphone jack. And EasySMX states no battery life figure.

Why this controller is in our catalogue
We check every controller before listing it. Many never make it in.
Every controller is checked before it enters the catalogue: the platforms it really works on, the technology of its sticks, what it does not do. Many models never make it in, because they do not live up to what they announce. What this one can do, and where it stops, is detailed further down this page.

What this controller can do

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the trigger lock for?
It changes the travel. In the long position, the trigger stays analog with Hall effect and you meter the pressure. In the short position, it fires a microswitch after a few millimeters, which is faster in FPS. Switching is mechanical, with no software setting.
Does the purple version have the same specs as the black one?
Yes. The color is the only difference: same TMR sticks, same trigger lock, same 1,000 Hz, same 1,000 mAh battery and same charging dock.
Do you need to install software?
No, and there is none anyway. EasySMX provides no application. Four-level vibration, lighting, M1 and M2 paddles: everything is configured through button combinations, and the settings stay stored in the controller.
Does the gyroscope work on PC?
The 6-axis gyroscope is stated as active on Nintendo Switch. On PC, support depends on the game and on the software layer used, and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer.
Is the charging dock included?
Yes. The charging dock is part of the box, along with the 2.4 GHz receiver, the USB cable and the manual. The controller reconnects automatically when you pick it back up.
Does it work on Xbox or PlayStation?
No. The supported platforms are Windows, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS.
