Wii U hard drive mount: external storage finally tidied away
The Wii U has only limited internal memory, and many players have added a 2.5-inch hard drive over USB as external storage. That drive often ends up lying next to the console, at the end of its cable. This 3D-printed mount by TicKnot holds the drive in place for a tidy setup. It comes on its own, with a SATA to USB adapter, or with a pair of feet for the console.
What it does
- Holds the drive: the 2.5-inch hard drive is screwed onto its mount instead of lying next to the console.
- Four screws included in every version.
- Version with SATA to USB adapter: a dual-USB cable to connect a bare 2.5-inch SATA drive directly to the console.
- Version with console feet: a pair of feet to stand the Wii U horizontally.
What it doesn't do
- The hard drive is not included: the mount takes your own 2.5-inch drive.
- It adds no storage and formats nothing: the drive is managed from the console, as usual.
- It does not take a 3.5-inch desktop drive.

The move: tidy away the Wii U's hard drive
