This page explains which cookies are used on fun-esports.com, what they are for, and how you can accept or refuse those that are not essential.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer, your phone or your tablet when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember certain information from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next.
The categories of cookies used on this site
Our shop runs on the Shopify platform. The cookies placed fall into three categories:
-
Strictly necessary cookies — they make the site work: keeping your cart from one page to the next, keeping your session logged in, securing payment, fighting fraud, and remembering the choice you made on the consent banner. Without them, the shop cannot work. They are placed without your consent, because the regulations exempt them from it.
-
Audience measurement cookies — they are used to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, length of visits, where traffic comes from. They help us improve the catalogue and navigation.
-
Advertising and personalisation cookies — they make it possible to tailor the content or the advertising you may see, on our site or elsewhere, and to measure how effective it is.
Audience measurement cookies and advertising cookies are only placed after you have agreed, via the consent banner shown on your first visit. You can change this choice at any time (see below).

Accepting, refusing or withdrawing your consent
From the site — the consent banner is shown on your first visit. There you can accept, refuse, or open “Manage your preferences” to choose category by category. That same button remains available afterwards so you can change your choice at any time.
From your browser — you can also block or delete cookies directly in its settings:
-
Google Chrome: Menu ⋮ → Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies (or “Delete browsing data”).
-
Mozilla Firefox: Menu ☰ → Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data.
-
Safari: Safari → Settings (or Preferences) → Privacy → Manage Website Data. On iPhone and iPad: Settings → Apps → Safari → Privacy and security.
-
Microsoft Edge: Menu … → Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Please note: deleting cookies from your browser also erases the cookie that remembers your consent choice. The banner will therefore be shown to you again on your next visit.
Refusing does not stop you from buying
Refusing audience measurement cookies and advertising cookies does not restrict access to the site in any way: you can browse the catalogue, add items to your cart, order and pay as normal. Only the cookies strictly necessary for the shop to work remain active.
