Phoenix: orange flames on the keys you hit hardest
Phoenix goes in first, burns an angle and gets back up from his own death. He's the agent of players who open rounds and hate waiting. The set takes a warm, saturated palette from him: orange, yellow, red, set against the midnight blue of his jacket. Plenty of gradients, so plenty to look at, especially on the larger keys where the artwork has room to unfold. It's a set that catches the light and suits setups that are already colourful: black keyboard, dark deskmat, RGB in warm tones. On an all-white desk it won't blend in anywhere — which is exactly the point.
Plenty of detail: what dye-sublimation actually renders
A set this busy is judged on print detail. Dye-sublimation transfers ink as a gas into the plastic rather than onto its surface: gradients come through, and the artwork can't chip or rub away. Two limits worth knowing: the process only works light to dark, and the diffused ink blocks LED light. The substrate is PBT, harder and grainier than stock ABS, which polishes fast on W, A, S, D and the space bar — precisely the keys an entry player hammers. OEM profile, MX cross-stem, clip-in MX stabilisers for the space bar. The manufacturer states 14 keys in five sizes at ANSI widths.
What the Phoenix set does not replace
Flame colours suggest backlighting: this set does not light up. Dye-sublimated legends are dyed through the plastic and block LED light, which stays visible around the keys only. It is not a keyboard, nor a full keycap set: fourteen keycaps out of more than a hundred, and the rest of the board keeps its stock keys, in a different colour and texture. Compatibility isn't universal: an MX cross-stem is mandatory, so no membrane, no low-profile, no laptop keyboard; the space bar won't mount on Costar stabilisers. It is not a licensed product: fan art inspired by the Valorant universe, published by a third party. Keycap puller not included.

Mechanical boards with an MX cross-stem: Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu and most clones. Not on a membrane keyboard, not on a low-profile keyboard, not on a laptop. The space bar requires clip-in MX stabilisers, Costar being incompatible. Pull one keycap and look at the shape of the stem.
Which keys will I get?
14 keys are stated, in five sizes: 1U, Caps Lock 1.75U, Backspace 2U, Enter 2.25U and space bar 6.25U — ANSI widths. The manufacturer does not publish the detail of the printed legends; the product photos remain the reference.
Does this set work with an RGB keyboard?
Yes, as long as you accept that the light comes out around the keys and not through them. A static RGB in warm tones extends the set's orange; a rainbow cycle, on the other hand, competes with the artwork and muddies the gradients.
Are the legends readable on such a colourful background?
The set mixes orange, yellow and red, values that sit close together: the characters read, just more slowly than black on white. If you touch-type, no issue; otherwise keep the set on the WASD cluster and the Esc key, whose positions you already know by heart.
Do I need a puller, and is one included?
You need one and it is not included. A wire puller lifts the keycap straight up without leaving a mark. Without a tool you pull at an angle and the switch stem can give way: it's the fragile part. Blow the plate out before fitting the set.
Does this set have the game publisher's approval?
No. It is produced by a third-party manufacturer and is a fan art creation inspired by the Valorant universe. It is not a licensed item, and no partnership connects it to the game publisher.
