Killjoy: workshop yellow, machine black
Killjoy is German, a sentinel, and the only Valorant agent who plays with a portable workshop: turret, alarmbot, remote-controlled robot, all built by her. Her visual register borrows the colour code of tooling, a plain bright yellow laid on black, with engineer's pictograms. The set's illustration takes up that spirit as fan art, with no connection to the game's publisher. This yellow-and-black pairing is the most legible of the range: it reads from a metre away and works on a black chassis as well as a grey one. It is aimed at the player who sets up gadgets and holds a site: prepares, waits, does not improvise.
Compatibility, sizes, fitting: the checks to run before buying
Before the colour, the mechanics: these caps clip onto an MX cross-stem, the one used by Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu and most clones. Membrane, low-profile and laptop keyboards are out, and the 6.25U spacebar (11.25 cm) requires clip-in MX stabilisers, not Costar. The other stated sizes: 1U (1.8 × 1.8 cm), Caps Lock 1.75U (3.15 cm), Backspace 2U (3.6 cm) and Enter 2.25U (4.05 cm), which is an ANSI layout. When fitting: Caps Lock left of the home row, Backspace top right, Enter to the right, spacebar at the bottom; the 1U caps wherever you like, usually WASD and Esc.
Killjoy: what this set does not do, appearances aside
Yellow this bright suggests a backlit set: it is not one. The dye-sublimated legends dye the material and stop the LED light, which only comes out around the keys. Nor is it a keyboard or a complete replacement: fourteen caps announced when a keyboard carries well over a hundred, the others keeping their original colour and texture, which will not match. Compatibility stops at MX cross-stems: no membrane, no low-profile, no laptop, and no Costar stabilisers under the spacebar. Finally, it is not a licensed product: fan art inspired by the Valorant universe, made by a third-party manufacturer. No keycap puller in the box.

How do I know whether my keyboard is compatible?
Look at the switch stem: it has to be an MX cross, the standard on Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu and clones. Membrane keyboards and low-profile models, laptops included, cannot take them. Special case, the spacebar: it requires clip-in MX stabilisers and stays incompatible with Costar ones.
What's in the box?
The 14 keycaps stated by the manufacturer, in five sizes: 1U, Caps Lock 1.75U, Backspace 2U, Enter 2.25U and a 6.25U spacebar, widths from an ANSI layout. Nothing else: no puller, no switches, no keyboard. The manufacturer does not detail the legends printed on them, the product photos show them.
Does the yellow really stand out on a black keyboard?
That is the set's most obvious match: Killjoy's yellow is a signalling colour, made to be seen against a dark background. On a white keyboard it loses force and the result turns pastel, without becoming unreadable for all that.
How do I remove my stock keycaps without damage?
With a wire puller, which is not supplied with this set. It lifts the cap straight up without marking the plastic. Pulling at an angle with your fingers or a screwdriver risks tearing the stem off the switch, the fragile part of the job.
Does this set suit a colourful desk?
Bright yellow gets along with black, grey and light wood, and argues with a desk already saturated with red or purple. This is a set that takes the lead role: better to let it be the main accent of the setup.
