Gekko and his crew: the least serious set on the roster
Gekko is the only agent in Valorant who plays with company: Wingman, Dizzy, Mosh and Thrash do the work, he picks them up and starts again. An initiator out of Los Angeles, oversized jacket, acid green and yellow, he stands apart from the tactical uniforms of the rest of the roster: his universe is streetwear and graffiti, not an operations room. On the keyboard that gives a bright, direct palette, which explodes on a black case, calls for restraint on an already colourful keyboard, and sits well with fixed green or white backlighting. A set for the player who owns a desk that does not look serious, and for the one who initiates without ever taking the first duel.
A lot of detail on one key: what the print renders
Artwork full of characters puts printing to the test, and that is the point to watch on this set. The pattern is applied by dye-sublimation: under heat the ink turns to gas and diffuses into the material instead of sitting on the surface. The result: nothing raised, nothing that can chip, and a drawing that does not rub off. One limit to know: dye-sublimation only goes from light to dark, so the ink can only darken the key. The manufacturer states 14 keys and five formats: 1U (1.8 × 1.8 cm), Caps Lock 1.75U (3.15 cm), Backspace 2U (3.6 cm), Enter 2.25U (4.05 cm) and space bar 6.25U (11.25 cm), in an ANSI layout.
What the Gekko set does not promise
Looking at Gekko's crew, it is tempting to expect fourteen keys and fourteen creatures: the manufacturer does not publish the list of printed legends, and the product photos are the only source showing exactly what the set contains. The other limits are the usual ones. Fourteen keycaps on a keyboard that has more than a hundred, the rest keeps its original keys, shade and grain included. An MX cross-stem is required, so no membrane, no low profile, no laptop keyboard, and the space bar will not fit Costar stabilisers. Dye-sublimated legends do not let LED light through. It is not a licensed product: fan art inspired by the Valorant universe, published by a third-party manufacturer. The puller is not included.

Will these keycaps go on my keyboard?
It all depends on the switch stem: an MX cross-stem is required, which covers Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu and most clones. Not eligible are membrane keyboards, low-profile keyboards and laptop keyboards. The space bar needs clip-in MX stabilisers and will not mount on Costar stabilisers.
What's in the set, and what is missing?
The manufacturer states 14 keys in five formats: 1U, Caps Lock 1.75U, Backspace 2U, Enter 2.25U and space bar 6.25U, for an ANSI layout. Do these keys stand up to cleaning?
Yes, with no reservation for the drawing: the print is dye-sublimated into the material and does not rub off. A soft, slightly damp cloth day to day; for a full wash, remove the keys with a wire puller, the only way to pull straight without tearing the switch stem off.
Is this set official or licensed?
No. It is a fan art design made by a third-party manufacturer, with artwork inspired by the Valorant universe. It is not a licensed item and there is no connection whatsoever with the game's publisher.
