What it does

• Replaces the damaged housing: scratches and yellowed plastic go away with the old shell.
• Matching buttons included: the controller changes its look in one go, shell and buttons.
• Four translucent colours: clear, black, lime green or purple.

What it doesn't do

• The controller and its internal parts are not supplied: board, joysticks, triggers and rumble motor are transferred from your controller.
• It does not repair a worn joystick, a soft trigger or a cut cable.
• It is not suitable for the WaveBird wireless controller or third-party controllers.

Compatibility

Original wired GameCube controller. Not covered: WaveBird controller, third-party GameCube controllers, Switch controllers in GameCube format.

Skill level required

Intermediate. No soldering. You need to open the controller with a tri-wing screwdriver, transfer the board, joysticks, triggers and rumble motor into the new shell, fit the buttons and reassemble. Photograph each step, especially the routing of the trigger ribbon cables.
