What it protects
This is a hard case, not a sleeve. The reinforced plastic shell doesn't deform under pressure, where an EVA shell gives a little. Inside, a molded cradle takes the Retroid Pocket 5 and stops it from moving: no sliding, no contact with the walls, no rubbing of the AMOLED screen against anything else.
In everyday use
There's no zip: magnetic clips hold the two shells together. It opens and closes in one movement, which is quicker than a wrap-around zip. The inner compartments are separate from the console cradle: the cable, the adapter and the microSD cards never come into contact with the screen. Available in black or white.
What it doesn't do
It's only stated for the Retroid Pocket 5: the other Retroid models don't fit the molded cradle. The console can't be charged inside it. The magnetic clips don't close tightly: the case is neither waterproof nor fine-dust proof. No drop resistance is stated, and the supplier gives neither dimensions nor weight.

It's stated for the Retroid Pocket 5. The cradle is molded to its shape: the Retroid Pocket 4, the Pocket 4 Pro, the Pocket Mini and the Pocket Flip are not covered.
What's the difference with the soft Retroid Pocket 5 case in the shop?
They're two separate products. This one is a hard case in reinforced plastic with magnetic clips and a molded cradle. The other is a semi-rigid EVA case with a microfiber lining and a zip, softer and less bulky.
What can you store alongside the console?

Is the case waterproof?
